
FREE NATURE-BASED MINDFULNESS WORKSHOP
Date: 9 August 2025
Time: 10.00am – 3.00pm
Venue: Pelverata Memorial Hall, 1237 Pelverata Rd, Pelverata
Morning tea and a light lunch will be provided.
Who For: Anyone wishing to learn nature-based mindfulness practices to support themselves and their community. We encourage paid and unpaid care workers.
This workshop is part of a larger project by researchers from the University of Tasmania and The University of Melbourne. There will be a short focus group at the end of the workshop to support the research if you are able to stay after the workshop.

Dr Tracy Spencer is a psychologist with HomeCountry and a Mindfulness teacher with Mindfulness Programs Australasia. Tracy has lived in the Huon and has a passion and commitment to help people heal in nature.
Tessie Strong is a Melukerdee woman with over 40 years of experience working within the Aboriginal Community, both personally and professionally, caring for Community and Country
Darroch Donald is an ecotherapist graduate and works for the Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service as a Discovery Ranger and Education and Interpretation Officer with a lifelong passion for nature and for reconnection others with it.
Sara Phillips is a Counsellor & Coach, student and teacher of nature-based mindfulness, Deep Ecology Facilitator, who loves supporting connection to Self, Others and Earth.
